How do I remove the annoying "Text Zoom" message and delay on Outlook 2013 when zooming in/out?

Just upgraded to Office 2013.  Scroll wheel zoom in/out when reading a message is a feature I use all the time.

For some reason, now there is a "Text Zoom xxx%" message when zooming, and the actual text doesn't zoom until you release, and only before a delay.

This is very annoying, and makes this great feature harder to use.

Is there any way to simply have the message zoom in/out without the message and delay - the way it was in Office 2010?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm afraid there is no way to change this behavior. If you want a fixed zoom percentage, we can just set it by clicking Zoom buttom and set a percentage you want.

Thanks, that's what I thought.  Too bad that a simple but great feature had to be "dumbed down" for the masses.

<<If you want a fixed zoom percentage, we can just set it by clicking Zoom buttom and set a percentage you want.>>

Actually that setting doesn't stick for reading incoming emails, or the preview pane.  Is this a bug, or "by design" for some reason?

Sorry for delivering wrong information in my last reply. As you said, the zoom percentage setting won't stick for reading incoming emails.

However, we can use a zoom tool or macro to achieve this goal. For more information, please refer to the following article:
